Safely in Kiev
Our internet connection is finicky, so I will be brief, but we arrived safely with all our luggage. Breezed right through customs and our translator was waiting for us with a driver. He set us up in an apartment right in heart of where we need to be. It is not fancy (I may try to post pics later if I'm able), but has a hot shower, a hint of a kitchen and a flat bed. (Yes, flat was important to us. Our 8 hour overnight flight was packed very tightly and neither of us slept.) It's not quite 7:00, but we've had dinner and will wind down and head to bed soon. Hopefully we'll wake up in the right time zone. Thanks for all the prayers. We're exploring and acclimating Tuesday. Our appointment will be Wednesday.

Good luck! We arrived yesterday in Kiev as well, and are also getting acclimated. We are staying at the hotel Kreschatyk, off Independence Square. Our appointment is Thursday at 9. Perhaps we will run into one another!
