It snowed most of yesterday and there are still light flurries this morning. The front sidewalk of the hotel, bordered by 8-12” walls is gone and we were not able to visit the internat yesterday. Our driver got stuck 3 times just trying to get out of the garage. Our power was out for about 2 hours yesterday and apparently with the power goes the heat... thankfully, it was restored and we’ve not turned to popsicles. I’m beginning to get a better understanding of cabin fever, but would rather be stuck here, even without power and heat, than on the road somewhere. We had a very restful day yesterday… apparently God thought we needed to nap, watch movies on the laptop and stay in for dinner. We were able to get 4 pieces of toast from the receptionist and ate that with our snack stash for dinner.
| This would be a beautiful postcard... it's the view from our hotel room window. |
Our translator was able to turn in our revised documents in Kiev yesterday. He is hoping to get the paperwork back on Monday, but not sure that will allow us to move up our court date at all. He will ask…
Pray for a snow plow so that we can visit V today! We are going to try to make it across the street to the grocery store now, while there’s a break in the weather, just in case we can’t go anywhere and need to eat in again tonight.
